The Howard Theatre Project.
Built in 1910 and regarded as “the largest colored theater in the world” the Howard Theater provided a venue for rising stars and various superstars from Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles to Dizzy Gillespie and Stevie Wonder.
Thirty-two years after closing down, The Howard Theatre has reopened with state-of-the-art architecture, enhanced audio-visual systems and lighting, a full-scale restaurant and bar, and stylish accommodations for public and private events.
Verge Entertainment produced the commercial fund-raiser trailer for the Howard Theatre Restoration Project. From conceiving the idea and creating the storyboards, to shooting on location in Washington, D.C. and handling the production and post-production, the partners of Verge developed the trailer, which served as an integral marketing element in bringing The Howard Theatre back to life in the 21st century.
